Definition of Quality Grades

Grade A:

Grade A products will have an excellent cosmetic condition to very good in general. Some Grade A units will be cosmetically pristine, while others may have minor scratches or other minor imperfections. Cosmetic imperfections will not affect the functionality or overall performance of the system.

Grade B:

These units will have some cosmetic imperfections that include scratches or other surface imperfections. Some laptops may display glossy keys on the keyboard and / or glossy surfaces around the keyboard. All key characters will be readable. Grade B products are functionally equivalent to Grade A products and will include the same warranty and customer support as Grade A products. The prices of Grade B products will generally be lower than Grade A products.

Grade C:

A computer used with this classification will be less than fully functional, but its condition, for its age, will be less than desirable. There will be scratches, scratches or pressure marks on the LCD screen or touch screen. The screen may have 10% or more dead pixels and there may be a moderate “screen burn” where a “ghost image” is clearly visible. The screen may not have the correct level of contrast and brightness consistent with its age and may have light or dark patches or backlight shadows that affect image quality, scrubbed or scratched. Modem, PCMCIA, hinge, port covers or badges may be missing.
